Privacy Policy
Video Splitter (“the App”) is published by Lee Strong (“we”, “us”). The App helps you split a video into equal-length clips on your Android device, then save or share those clips. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled and why. It is intended to meet Google Play’s requirements for a clear, accessible privacy policy.
Who the App is for
The App is designed for general adult users who want a simple on-device video splitting tool. It is not directed at children.
Information we process
Videos you choose. When you pick a video, the App reads that file on your device to measure duration and create clips. Splitting is performed entirely on your device using on-device media tools. We do not operate a backend that receives, stores, or processes your video content.
Temporary local files. The App may copy your selected video and write clip files into the App’s private temporary storage while processing. Those working files stay on your device.
Permissions. With your permission, the App may access your photo/video library so you can choose a source video and, if you ask it to, save finished clips to your gallery. You can deny or revoke these permissions in Android settings.
Sharing. If you use Share, Android’s system share sheet lets you send clip files to another app you choose (for example WhatsApp). That destination app then handles the files under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive those shared files.
This website. Visiting videosplitter.lee-strong.com may cause our hosting provider to process limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security, reliability, and basic server logging. That hosting traffic is separate from the App’s on-device video processing.
What we do not collect
- No account, sign-in, or profile
- No upload of your videos to our servers
- No advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or sale of personal information in the current App
- No access to your contacts, precise location, or microphone for this feature set
How we use information
Local video data is used only to split clips, show progress/results, and support save or share actions you start. Website technical logs (if any) are used for hosting security and reliability.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Clip files leave your device only when you explicitly save them to the gallery or share them through the system share sheet to an app you select.
Retention
Temporary working files remain in the App’s storage until replaced by a new split, cleared by the system, or removed when you uninstall the App. Clips you save to the gallery remain under your control in your device library. Hosting logs, if retained by the provider, follow that provider’s retention practices.
Security
Because processing stays on your device, your videos are not transmitted to us for splitting. No method of device storage or third-party sharing is completely secure; protect your device and review permissions for apps you share with.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Use the App without creating an account
- Deny gallery permissions (some features will be unavailable)
- Delete saved clips from your gallery
- Uninstall the App to remove its private app storage
Google Play Data safety
For Play Console, the App’s current design is intended to declare that video content is processed on-device and that we do not collect personal data on our servers. If that changes in a future version (for example if analytics are added), we will update this policy and the Data safety form.

Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
